Re-interpreting God’s Word?

marriage_couplesPutting words in someone’s mouth is a distasteful practice. Yet, homosexual advocates do just that when they abandon the Biblical views of sexuality, marriage and family and try to construct a view of the Bible that accepts and supports their same-sex practices.

They want the Bible to say something different than what it does. So they ignore that Jesus reaffirmed Adam and Eve’s relationship as a pattern for all people (Matthew 19:4-6). They argue that Paul’s clear condemnation of homosexual practice in 1 Corinthians 6 only refers to male prostitutes, or that his teaching in Romans 1 is limited only to certain types of same-sex practice and not homosexuality, in all its forms.

The Bible warns that “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. Who can know it?” (Jer. 17:9). No matter what form our sexual struggles or temptations may take, God is able to forgive and transform us, if we will submit to Him and obey His word.
