Researchers at Northwestern University have shown that today’s highly-potent marijuana damages the brain and can be linked to abnormalities, similar to those seen in patients with schizophrenia. Teens and young adults who may use cannabis causally, even just once or twice a week, showed a decline in their working memory, which affects the core aspects of their judgments or decisions, planning things, or even doing mathematics.
Sadly, marijuana is now legal in Colorado and Washington, and pot activists and liberal politicians have made it virtually legal in California. With no public stigma, it easily gets into the hands of teenagers and young adults, whose lives can start to spiral downhill, affecting their families and future.
The Apostle Paul told believers, in the corrupt city of Corinth, that our bodies are temples, where the Holy Spirit lives. He reminded them (and us!) of the resurrection truth that “God paid a great price for you, so use your body to honor God.”
