Researchers claim that citizens of western nations are living in a “post-Christian” period, where the teachings and values of the Christian faith no longer are dominant. This period of Christian decline coincides with a renewed Muslim militancy, where Islamic fundamentalists seek to impose their Sharia Law on conquered states and peoples.
Jesus said that if the world hated Him, we should not be surprised it if likewise hated His followers. We seem to have reached a “tipping point” and this religious hatred is accelerating in attacks on Christians by radicalized Islamic followers around the world.
Whether the fanatical Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan (where move than 80 worshippers were killed by suicide bombers, just days ago) or Islamic warriors in rural Nigeria or at a modern shopping mall in Kenya, Christians and other non-Muslims are increasingly the targets for terrorism and unprecedented, religious-persecution.
