Anti-Christian Persecution

church_ PersecutionUnprecedented assaults and attacks on Christians and their churches continue in different parts of Egypt, while our liberal media and President hesitate to condemn this for what it is: anti-Christian persecution.  Congress remains recessed, with its leaders giving only muted and muddled response.

At least 47 church buildings, monasteries and schools have been set ablaze or looted by backers of the Muslim Brotherhood. According to the National Review, “Al-Qaeda’s flag has been raised above their churches…a priest was shot in front of his church, and another Copt(ic) [priest] beheaded; their children are being abducted…and hate filled graffiti covers their homes and churches.” The Egyptian Bible Society reports the complete burning and destruction of their bookstores in the largest cities in Southern Egypt.

Let us pray for our persecuted Christian brothers and sisters. Pray for God’s protection, supernatural courage, strength and peace for them and their families.
