It is not hard to understand why 228 members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted to protect unborn children, who are scientifically capable of feeling the agonizing pain of late-term abortion procedures. The “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” prohibits abortions during the final four months of pregnancy, when pre-born children are considered potentially “viable” outside the womb.
What is hard to understand is why 196 men and women of the U.S. Congress would actually vote to allow these kinds of painful atrocities to continue! Modern research shows (audio) these 20-week or older pre-borns experience excruciating pain, since the pain-modifying system has not been developed at that critical stage of human gestation.
Now, attention needs to be focused on the Senate, which is controlled by Harry Reid and his liberal colleagues, who don’t want this late-term abortion legislation to even be debated, let alone voted on before the 2014 elections!
