Unwelcome UN Vote

un_

Over the objections of Israel and the United States, the UN General Assembly recently voted to elevate Palestine to the status of “nonmember observer state.” This occurred 65 years, to the day, after the UN General Assembly voted—in 1947—to partition Palestine between Arabs and Jews, paving the way for the modern statehood of Israel.

Following the unwelcome UN actions, Republican and Democrat lawmakers prepared amendments to the National Defense Authorization bill, now pending in the Senate, to cut off all U.S. financial aid if the Palestinians attempt to “use the United Nations as a club against Israel.”

The Bible clearly promises blessings to the descendants of the Jewish Patriarch Abraham, including that they would be an instrument of blessing to all the families of the earth. Among Abraham’s “Seed” is Jesus of Nazareth, the Jewish Messiah and our Savior! His birth we celebrate this season!
