Defending Traditional Marriage

The recent split decision by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, denying traditional marriage supporter’s request to have California’s Proposition 8 case re-heard by the full court, comes as no surprise. The appeal will ultimately be decided by the United States Supreme Court.

Andy Pugno, general counsel for ProtectMarriage.com, commented: “It is heartening to note that three judges described their colleague’s position as a ‘gross misapplication’ of case law, in arriving at their decision to destroy the historical definition of marriage between a man and woman. It is also worth noting that the dissenting justices referenced the fact that overturning Prop 8 overrules the will of more than seven million people…”

While California’s Prop 8 remains in effect—for now—voters in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington State will go to the polls in November, to decide the future of marriage in their states. Let’s pray, America, pray!

Gay marriage activists are raising millions from Wall Street insiders and Hollywood liberals. Your gifts to  Stand for Marriage America will go directly to the four state campaigns to defend traditional marriage and can make a real difference!
