Religious Beliefs and the Ballot Box

More and more Americans are beginning to consider how faith shapes leadership and will play a role in the 2012 elections.

Political analysts say Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and Texas Governor Rick Perry will be the main competitors for the Christian conservative vote in the GOP Primaries. Both have been criticized for their Christian faith.  Other candidates, including a former senator, governors and a business leader, also refer to their different faith beliefs.

Our biblical world views determine the role our faith plays in the issues we all face in our country—in politics, education, business, the marketplace, and in all aspects of life. When we take on a “Christian worldview,” we look through the lens of our faith into every aspect of our lives, from our finances to our families – and at the ballot box, too.

May God sustain the faith of His faithful!
