After World War I, the League of Nations broke up the Turkish Ottoman Empire’s 400 year rule and divided oversight of the Middle East between the British and French. The British were mandated to oversee the area south of Syria, which included the land on BOTH sides of the Jordan River. The 28,000 square kilometers of land west of the Jordan were intended for a “Jewish Homeland” and the 93,000 square kilometers across the Jordan River to the east were intended for the Palestinian Arabs. The country of Jordan was “born” for this purpose in 1946.
Appropriately, Palestinian Arabs today account for more than 80 percent of the population of Jordan. Many suggest that Jordan IS the national state of Palestinians. This may actually be a more realistic alternative to the failing “Two States” solution, insisted on by the West!
Let us: “Pray for The Peace of Jerusalem!”
