The Dishonoring of Traditional Marriage

Marriage counselor and child psychologist Dr. James Dobson has pointed out* that “there have been periods in history where homosexuality has flourished, such as in the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, in ancient Greece and in the Roman Empire. None of those civilizations survived! Even where sexual perversion was tolerated, marriage continued to be honored in law and custom.”

But in our day, toleration is not enough. Neutrality is not sufficient. Rather, the aggressive gay-activists demand acceptance, approval and public affirmation. In California, they now require our children (as young as Kindergarten) to be taught gay history, where same-sex practices can only be mentioned in a “positive light.” They can not be warned that such behavior is unnatural and unhealthy.

If same-sex marriage is legalized at the federal level, as L.A.’s liberal city-leaders have recently endorsed and encouraged, and the rest of the gay agenda is achieved in this country, religious leaders and institutions will be subjected to ever-increasing oppression and discrimination. Where will we find the politically correct Los Angeles City Council then, to boldly defend our religious rights? I’m afraid it will be too little and too late!
