A ballot question in Mississippi defines a person as a “human being” at the point of fertilization. And Oklahoma is now the fourth state (joining Kansas, Idaho, and Nebraska) to enact “Personhood Bills” that protects from abortion unborn children, capable of feeling pain!
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed into law HB 1888, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, and SB 547, the Abortion-Is-Not-Health-Care bill.
This latter bill prevents coverage for elective abortions under Oklahoma health insurance plans, protecting the conscience rights of pro-life premium payers, so they are not implicated in the killing of unborn children. This reinforces the principle that abortion is NOT health care! The act passed in the Oklahoma House with a vote of 85-7 and in the Senate by 38-8!
Let’s pray that more states “Choose Life.”
